Big enough to take a cake or cold dessert - the false base contains two chiller blocks (provided) to keep the plastic cake box chilled - when out in the hot summer.
Alternatively - turn it upside down and it makes a great portable salad bowl - with the lid (with chiller blocks inside) keeping the salad cool and fresh.The chiller blocks are the type that should be left in the freezer until needed - and they then keep the container chilled for hours.
